Black Bank & Yaddlethorpe are open – 16/08/25
We are happy to announce that the dissolved oxygen levels have risen sufficiently for us to reopen both Black Bank & Yaddlethorpe for fishing from Saturday morning, 16th August. Our bailiffs & volunteers have worked tirelessly, operating pumps and monitoring the O2 levels.

Louth Canal Rule update – with immediate effect, 5th August 2025, lure fishing for pike is banned on the Louth Canal until 1st October. This difficult decision has been made in order to protect the pike stocks whist the canal is suffering from low flow and warm temperatures. Anglers are reminded that live baiting is not allowed at any time and dead baiting is not allowed before 1st October.
Environment Agency, Auckley Weir works on River Torne
The Environment Agency are proposing to carry out works at Auckley Weir. These works will include partial removal of the existing weir to improve access for future maintenance, reduce health and safety risks and enhance conditions for Biodiversity. The works are scheduled to commence early to mid August. The duration of these works are anticipated to be between two to four weeks.
